Learning Swedish – Lesson 1 & 2
Nerds are not only good in CPUs, GHz, cores and nanometer technology, but also in quickly learning new languages. Lesson 1 : Exit (English) = Utgang (Swedish).

On that exit door, there’s a little cardboard sign stating Ej Ingang. Lesson 2 : No Entrance (English) = Ej Ingang (Swedish).

A bit strange though to put this at the inside of the building, euh no? Or do people over here look back when they enter a door.
First Intel Pack4DreamHackers Awake
Fresh and in good shape. At least 9 of them.

The other ones are still in some kind of nowhere land in the sleeping hall. But we treat our Benelux gamers nicely. They got an Intel Pack4DreamHack/DIRT2 sleeping bag.

To get them up and running asap, we’ve sent tour leader Rob on a ‘wake up’ mission. Pretty sure this will work.

Lunch Confusion Rules
We had Italian Greek yesterday evening, but hey now we’re really getting confused. Should we go Italian or American?

To make our confusion complete, the American hot dog and hamburger car seems to be called Golden Waffel!

Next option is to go inside and heat our food ourselves. Great, but now even more confused, which microwave to go for?

Overclocking Mania
Nerd level 200%, overclocking! Swedish Intel guru Thomas preparing intensively the systems. Funky colored light.

At the same time, participants of the World Championship getting mentally prepared for a dirty job by playing DIRT 2. In the driver seat from Belgium the one and only “Massman”.

Let nerdness begin, bring in the liquid nitrogen.

Breaking News
Anonymous surfer at Scandic Elmia has been looking at our Nerd-FM website! If you have seen a smiling gamer around 23:00 somewhere in the reception area, please report it to us.

Candle In The Wind
Where can you find an all-in-one Italian/Greek restaurant? Of course only in Jönköping. To celebrate the birthday we only missed a candle on the table. Holly, who has followed on online training ‘If David Copperfield can do it, you can do it too’ , helped us out big time. After a few magic words we had our candle.

Now off to bed. We have our daily breakfast meeting at 06:06. We realize you might find this kind of a strange timing, but it’s one we can all remember.
19:00 Departure from Hall B
Pretty overwhelming day for us. Now up to a dinner celebration of Uli’s 50th birthday. We’re surprised to find out his age, as he only looks 49. But we can be assured, our light will shine throughout Hall B even when the expo is closed.

Shockin minutes at the nerd booth!
Basti seems to loose control about himself. After buying a new AP he lost his key for the car and the caravan. He was going crazy for one hour till he found out that he was handing over the key to his nerd father… we will send him to bed early today.
