I got it on good authority – there is no reason for concern regarding the unchecked use of heavy weaponry by visitors of theRPC 2010.

This lady from our Lord Emperors Inquistion - as friendly as professional – is a prime example: These guys here know their stuff, and earth – or at least Cologne – could be invaded by pretty much anything and everything: We have the people, the guns and the swords to fight off pretty much everything – all in a freak’s days work, looking good and… elfy (?) in the meantime.

There is no need to panic. I can’t stop the urge to check my surroundings all the time though – there is barely any need for serious research when the first rock-solid fact turns up by itself: EVERY SINGLE FREAK is heavily armed. There are more weapons here than at a NATO depot – and at a time where armies worldwide are eagerly looking forward to the first ship-sized Gauss Guns, the freaks here gear up for some serious melee.

Clubs, spears, maces, halberds, daggers, swords, pikes, beer mugs, rolling pins and table legs, you name it, they swing it.

Some neatly arranged table legs there. Hope they got permits. I have no idea what they are preparing for, but the average freak knows something we don’t. Better keep on your toes.

and the symptoms are spreading. Sooner or later, you have to take part in the arms race. Just look at him; all cute and innocent now, but at the end of the second day here at RPC, he might be a spine-sword wielding maniac.
