Intel at Waterloo
This year, on the yearly re-enactment of the battle of Waterloo (in Belgium), Intel had a little surprise for the visitors. On the public area, we set up 4 Intel Core i7 systems to play Napoleon Total War, a PC game from SEGA/Creative Assembly, that came out earlier this year. A game officially approved as ‘cool’ by Nerd-FM.
Ha, we figured, no better location to play a ‘virtual’ battle on a brand new PC than on a ‘real’ battle field, especially as on this re-enactment edition over 3000 re-enactors participated.
Nerds make it happen. Always!
Nerd-FM.com Short Cut Keyboard
Breaking news. At CeBIT in Hall 16, a company offering ‘blanc’ keyboards that can be easily personalized started to realize the Nerd-FM excitement building up and could not resist anymore.
This is what the keyboard looked like before.
This is the adjusted version with direct short cut button to www.nerd-FM.com.
Quote “All booth visitors were asking me why there was not a direct link to the Nerd-FM website. This really started to impact my sales. I decided to include it on the keyboard and now sales are picking up again. I am already starting to run out of stock.”
Mandy Wafer Bill 32
We definitively wanted to share an image that just came in via mail from one of our creative Nerd-FM.com fans who was over on Wednesday. Mandy Mania hits new Nerd-FM levels! Thanks for paying solid attention in our Tech Expert corner. Your 32 nicely refers to Uli’s wafer under the microscope with the brand new Intel All New Core family which is based on 32 nanometer technology. Well done!
Booth Visit Tip
After finding back one of our visitors after she disappeared in our cute 1974 Passat …
… we kindly want to inform all our friends that the doors can be ‘opened’.
Nerd-FM.com Trailer XXL
You can’t get enough of our trailer on the site? You can’t get enough of our trailer on the screen at our booth? Guess what, in hall 23, on the main Intel Extreme Masters stage, you can sit down and enjoy it in XXL size plenty of times every day.
A Wonderf-Uli Day
Life on a Nerd-FM booth is hard but wonderful. Or should we say wonderf-Uli. Indeed, our Uli without a single sign of tiredness keeps on explaining the ins and outs of an Intel wafer.
At the same time Mandy keeps on finding new Nerd-FM friends.
In the Summer Time …
… we want to have a fun USB stick to take along to save the Nerd-FM pictures for our blogs. Thank you CeBIT, we just found what we are looking for. Nerd level >100%.
Mandy Meets Dutch Nerd-FM fans
Surprise, surprise. Stefan and 3 of his friends visited the Nerd-FM booth this morning. Stefan has been a die hard fan from the very first hour after our first appearance on DreamHack Winter 2009.
G(r)eek Dinner
One can not survive without eating. Our first night, we went for a Greek dinner located pretty close to the fair. Next to bits and bytes, ancient culture is also high on our agenda so in the restaurant we were pleased to see a real piece of ancient art showing Socrates and Plato. Time for some nerdy education : Socrates ( 469 BC–399 BC) was a Classical Greek philosopher. Credited as one of the founders of Western philosophy, he is an enigmatic figure known only through the classical accounts of his students. Plato‘s dialogues are the most comprehensive accounts of Socrates to survive from antiquity.
Then to bed. Hannover has tons of surprises. Where do you find ‘triangle’ pillows like this? We had never seen this, you? Hannover has it!
Mandy Mania Hits CeBIT 2010
BREAKING NEWS (as you’re used from us – at all times, if it’s not on Nerd-FM it’s not true or not relevant). The friends Mandy made during her first day on the booth all gathered around the Intel Extreme Masters main stage at 17:45 to celebrate a successful first CeBIT day. What a crowd.
And Mandy made it worth for her fans to come over by throwing cool goodies. Never a dull moment with Nerd-FM.
